Kim Kardashian is a noted TV and social media personality. She's a model and an actress, a fashion designer and a socialite.
She's the daughter of Robert Kardashian, a Los Angeles attorney best known for his representation of O.J. Simpson in Simpson's trial for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson.
Kim first came to the public's attention – and how – when she appeared in a 2003 sex tape with her then boyfriend, Ray J that was leaked in 2007.
That's led to the reality TV series "Keeping up with the Kardashians", in which her sisters Kourtney and Kris, her brother Rob, mother Kris and step-dad Bruce Jenner.
Kim was also marked by controversy in 2011. She married pro basketball player Kris Humphries in a very public event.
72 days later, she filed for divorce. Humphries responded by filing for an annulment.
Their divorce was made final in June 2013.
Her former publicist claimed the marriage to Humphries was staged to generate money. So she sued the publicist, saying his claims weren't true.
In June 2013, Kim gave birth to a daughter she named North. The father is rapper Kanye West, with whom she started a relationship in 2012.
